My Little Monkey

Kirsten is SUCH a little monkey now! She climbs up everything she possibly can, and for several weeks now she has been climbing up onto the couch and the recliner chair by herself. She loves to climb up there with some books and look at them. I guess it makes her feel more grown up!She also makes her first animal noise now. . . the chicken sound! "Bop bop bop." She did this awhile ago when she saw real chickens, but now she makes the noise when she sees pictures of chickens in some of her books.

Kirsten has also tried to climb from the chair onto the end table, but she's too slow and I always catch her at it. At least she hasn't figured out how to climb out of her crib yet!

Chillin' on the couch!

She loves books, but rarely has the attention span to sit through a whole book while it's read out loud to her. She prefers to flip through the pages herself, skipping most of them, and pointing to things so I can tell her what they are. Sometimes she'll repeat the word I say, but only once! It's so fun when she says the word herself.

Little bookworms are always a great thing! I know I used to be one!

  1. Awwwhhh she's so cute! El loves books too! I cringe how she turns pages now though...ugh! Poor book never saw her coming! :)

  2. You are Right....BookWorms are awesome!!! She is learning so much...isn't it amazing how time flies??!!? I love her little pony tails! that is adorable!!! i can tell from the pictures that she is REALLY into those books, too! that is so good!!!

"reading is the magic key to take you where you want to be!"

  3. I can't believe how big she looks! She doesn't look like a baby anymore, she's a toddler now! Does that make you sad!? I feel baby hungry. Where did my Lilly baby go!?

  4. How cute is she?! (very). She's such a little grown up!

  5. Kirsten is SO adorable. Isn't is great to have a growing bookworm? I love it, too. Although their rooms look like a library threw up inside... Yeah. Fun times!

  6. Now you just need to introduce her to the Twilight series, then I am sure that she will be sitting still for that one! ;) Who can blame her? I am mesmerized by Edward also!

  7. Miss L has started saying "uh-oh." She says it for everything. She wants something she can't reach? She points and says "uh-oh." It is super cute.
She is getting better about sitting still long enough for a story. She is always in the room when we read to her brother but now she is actually climbing on our laps while we read. I love it. I just wrote all about my girl didn't I? What, do I think this is my blog or something? :-)

Comments make me happy :)
