Gift Guide: Growing Tree Toys Review!

Growing Tree Toys has such an adorable selection of educational toys for all ages! They totally feed my toy-buying addiction. . . and I love it!
They sent me one of their awesome toys to review. . . the Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie Set. Everyone who has ever bought a Melissa and Doug puzzle or toy before knows that their amazing quality speaks for itself. I had tried their puzzles before, and I was equally impressed with this wooden pretend play food set. Look at all the stuff it comes with, for only $19.95! Kirsten has a really fun time "slicing" the cookies from the cookie dough roll with the wooden knife. It comes with 18 colorful, different toppings so that kids can decorate the cookies and then pretend to bake them in an oven.

The wooden cookies and toppings have velcro that helps them to stick together, and the spatula and knife can slide through the velcro to break them apart. It's such an adorable toy, it makes me want to buy all the other Melissa and Doug food playsets too!

The Growing Tree Toys website is super easy to navigate! You can search by Brand, Age Group, or Type of Toy. They also have a great Holiday Gift Guide and Gift Finder, where they list toys for each age group by gender and price.
When I searched for toys for 2 year-olds, I found SUCH cute toys like this Fairyland Playhouse Play Set.
My favorite section of their website is their huge selection of Calico Critters toys. These toys are just too cute for WORDS, and I'm giving Kirsten some for Christmas to start our collection.
*I was provided with a Melissa and Doug Slice and Bake Cookie set to review, but was not compensated and my opinions are all mine!
Happy shopping!!!

  1. I LOVE the cookie set and ordered it for my 5 year old for Christmas before it arrived in the mail there was a huge recall put out on it, I checked it out when it came, sure enough it was the same bar code. Its something harmful in the paint, maybe you better look into it :) I was so sad she had seen it in a catalog and wanted it sooo bad!

  4. I love the Ikea bibs with sleeves, don't you? :)

And what an amazing preschool group you've got going. I remember your facebook status about Dancing to Disco, and totally wish I could have been there with my crew. :)
