When my family came to visit us in Seattle for Thanksgiving, we certainly showed off our city in style!!!
Here it is. . . the guide to a wonderful day touring Seattle at Christmastime:
Step 1: Bundle up! It's COLD out there!
Here it is. . . the guide to a wonderful day touring Seattle at Christmastime:
Step 1: Bundle up! It's COLD out there!
Step 2: The day just isn't complete if you don't stop by Pike Place Market! Grab a piroshky, sample the delicious apples and the Beecher's Cheese shop Flagship Cheddar, and watch the famous fish tossers!
Step 4: Also at the Fairmont Olympic, they have a Teddy Bear Suite, decorated to the MAX with massive teddy bears and huge decorations. It's free to go in there and take a bunch of pictures of your kids, and it was really cute!
Step 5: The perfect end to the day is eating dinner at the top of the Space Needle. Seriously, it's expensive but soooooo worth it to eat in the revolving restaurant and get the amazing views! They also have awesome food!
Can't-miss-it Tip: Sign up for the Space Needle's email club before you go. I got this great coupon for one free dessert for EACH entree purchased. Five free desserts. . . not too shabby! The coolest one was the ice cream sundaes that sent smoke swirling all over the table. Kirsten wasn't sure what to think of it. But we all enjoyed our dinner there so much!
Who else wants to come visit us? I love being a tourist in my own city! Especially since we've only lived here for three years, Seattle is still new to us as well. So come visit us, and we'll take you to all the great places!
I really do love Seattle, it's a wonderful city! I've lived near three big cities throughout my life, and they all start with S. San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Seattle!
Looks like a great city!! I must visit some time!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! The pig is our meeting spot if we are meeting family.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Crissi Maycock. I got your blog address off of my daughter Jenny's FB. Jenny was Mary Veater's close friend growing up. It was so nice to see Stephen's family, your girls are so darling. It looks like you two have a great life going! Your family photos are really nice, you must have had a great photographer! It was nice to Stephen's family. Tell him "hello" from me. Have a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love Natalie's hat she is so cute - it looks like her hair is getting thicker too. Funny how different the sisters were in that regard. Looks like you had a blast. I love reading about your outings, you seem to seek out the funnest and most delicious things anywhere you go. A very good quality! :)
ReplyDeleteFun! I wish we didn't have to leave Seattle. I really like it over there. Fortunately, we can always go back to visit. I've really been wanting to go up the Space Needle, but have not done that yet.
ReplyDeleteYou should take them to Bellevue to see the Christmas lights at the botanical garden. I'm going to post my pictures from there on my blog as soon as I can get them uploaded.
So fun to hear about your trip! You are quite the tour guide! I living near love big cities too! So much exciting stuff to do and see! Seattle is beautiful.
