Gift Guide. . . Creative Toyshop Review!

This is the cutest idea. . . an easy-to-build dollhouse made entirely of cardboard! Kirsten just loves it! Creative Toyshop sells these wonderful Calafant cardboard toys. I was SO impressed by the quality! It arrived in a few flat pieces, and I was really surprised by how easy it was to put it together. Just a few folds was all it took, no cutting or glue required. Kirsten helped me build it, and now she asks to play with the "house" every day! We left ours white, but older kids would have a total blast painting and decorating it. They could even add felt to carpet the rooms, and wallpaper to the walls! I love the cute balcony on the front, and the shape of the windows. The doors really open too!
There are two large rooms in this Calafant dollhouse, and it would be adorable to put furniture inside the rooms. We put Little People animals inside ours, which were a great size for it, and the dollhouse would be perfect with Playmobil people, Polly Pockets, or many other small dolls.
I ADORE this picture from their website. . . one of their dollhouses all decked out into a holiday gingerbread house! The creative possibilities of these toys are endless, and it's easy to see why Calafant won the Family Fun 2008 Toy of the Year award.
Calafant also makes an awesome cardboard farm, castle, palace, pirate fortress, fort, windmill, and treehouse. Doesn't the painted treehouse look great?
It's always wonderful to find toys that are so creative, sturdy, eco-friendly, affordable (each one is $25!), and full of endless imaginative play options. I'll definitely be buying these in the future for my kids to decorate and play with!
*I was sent a dollhouse to review, but was not compensated for this review. The opinions are all mine!
Deal Alert: Creative Toyshop is providing a great discount code to my readers! Use the code 'CALAFANT15' for 15% off all products on their website except the BootScoot Bikes.
Happy shopping!!!

  2. a.w.e.s.o.m.e! Santa might need to add this to his sleigh and skip the "just one toy" rule this year. :)
