Story Time at the Library

Last week I took Kirsten to the baby story time at the local library for the first time. I had meant to take her awhile ago, but it's at 11 am and she used to be napping right at that time. Lately her morning naps have been very short though, so I was able to take her to story time. It mostly consisted of a lady reading some books, singing songs with all of us, and doing some nursery rhymes. After that, she got out a bunch of toys so the babies could play with them. Kirsten liked that part, mostly because there were new things she could put in her mouth.
A few of my friends were there with their babies too, but I couldn't get any pictures of Kirsten with them because she kept wanting to move around.
It's fun being able to get together with other moms and babies. When Kirsten was littler and nursing or napping constantly, I hardly took her anywhere. I know some moms miss the newborn stage but I honestly love having an older baby who's getting more active, more involved in things, and more and more curious about the world.
Here's Kirsten the crawler. She's getting faster too!

  1. I think that is so cool that you do so many fun things with Kirsten! When do you think you will be back down in the San Diego area again? We should totally hang out!

  2. I wish they had a baby story time here, but they only have one for 3-5 year old. Darn. That looks like so much fun!! I love her outfit in that picture.
