Every summer, I get camping cravings. I just start craving being outdoors in the forest, under the stars, and roasting marshmallows and sitting around a campfire! There's something so unbelievably cozy about it. And is it just me or do people always look their very best in the glow of firelight? This weekend we're taking the kids camping at a lake, and I'm pretty excited about it! There's lots to do to get ready, and of course it's a little stressful to camp with a baby, but I'm hoping it'll be a ton of fun!
One of my favorite things about camping is. . . making yummy s'mores! I bought all my supplies and I can't WAIT!
*As a member of the Mom Bloggers Club (a really fun way to connect with other bloggers!) this post enters me in a contest to win a S'mores prize pack! Sounds good to me!!!
I love smores too! But we like to cheat with the kids to make it less messy and buy stripped shortening bread cookies that have the choc on them and just add the marsh mellows.
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE to go camping and take the kids. I have taken my babies as little as 3 months with a text and smaller if we stay in a trailer. Haven't been at all this year :( usually go 4-10 times..every available weekend we can afford to!

ReplyDeleteHi! Stopping by from MBC. Great blog.
Have a nice day!
Haha, yes, we take our kids camping from as early as 1 year old and man is it funny to see how filthy they get! LOVE s'mores too! And you wanna know a strange thing they do here? They roast a marshmallow with a roll-o on the end and when the marshmallow is done, they pull it off and the roll-o goes INSIDE the marshmallow. WOW! SO GOOD!
ReplyDeleteHope you win! We did smores in Tahoe and the kids just loved it. Not a fan of camping but we do go to cabins in the woods!
ReplyDeleteI've never been camping before! I'm sure it'll be fun!
ReplyDeleteThe were so yummy! Even if we had to get creative about how we roasted them! lol
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE making smores! And we LOVE camping! Sometimes we even go just for the smores and campfire and then come home at, like, midnight! We haven't really been camping since I was about 5 months pregnant...Harry's two months old now, and I think we'll go again soon. I think your girls will have a great time and I think you're really brave for going pregnant!
