Kirsten has started putting three or four words together to form little sentences! It's SO cute and so much fun to listen to her. Her very favorite thing to say lately is "Thank you, Mommy!" She says it when I give her pretty much anything, whether it's a snack, a toy, a drink, or whatever else. She'll also say "Thank you, Daddy," but I even hear her saying "Thank you, Mommy" when she's alone in her crib before she falls asleep. Sometimes she adds on, "Thank you, Mommy, welcome" because I always say "You're welcome" afterwards.
It's nice to be thanked. :)

Some of her other favorite things to say right now are:
-"Bless you, Mommy," "Bless you, Daddy," and even "Bless you, Baby" after we've sneezed
-"Help, it's stuck!"
-"Bath with bubbles"
-"Where is it?"
-"Oh there it is!"
She can also name lots of characters now from Disney shows she likes. She can name Mickey Mouse (she says that one very clearly), Minnie, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, and Rabbit.

Guess what she figured out today? She can reach a cup up to the water machine on the door of the fridge and put water in it, and even ice! I did not see that one coming!
I recently put one of those door knob covers over the door to the pantry so she can't get into it all day long and pull food out. She gets pretty upset when she tries to open it and yells out, "Help! Help! It's stuck!"

And if you're at any parks north of Seattle anytime soon, you better watch out for the ball thief. Kirsten is magnetically drawn to any ball she sees lying around the parks, as long as it doesn't belong to us. Even if we bring our own, she still goes after everyone else's. As the pictures illustrate, she'll go steal any ball she can find!
At least she's a polite thief. She'll always say "Thank you." :)

She is so cute!
ReplyDeleterachel likes to steal the balls also! they can duel it out with each other!
ReplyDeleteMiss E says "bess you" when we sneeze too, actually she also says it when we cough. And, if I don't hear her or acknowledge her right away she follows me around the house saying, "bess you mom, Mom! Bess you!!!". Very cute. I love all the language they are acquiring!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got a polite little girl there! Well... except for the ball stealing thing. But a thief who says, "Thank you?" That's impressive. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the way kids learn language is kind of amazing! Caleb knows all the different characters from "Cars" by name. I think his only sentence is "I did it!!" Often followed by "Yes!" Aren't you glad you are through that 1st month??
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love how she puts "welcome" on the end. It's amazing how they put the sentences together!
ReplyDeleteOh she's adorable! I love toddler talk. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cutE!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhh, that's SOOOO cute that she says thank you so much to you!! It must melt your heart, how sweet!!! The funniest is when they start saying the *other* things you say! Lilly has been saying "what the heck" lately and it kind of bugs me!!!! But the other day I fell off my chair laughing because she told Sunny (her cousin), "that was the scariest thing I've ever seen in my whole life!" And I'm SURE she's heard me say *that* before, haha!!! It's so cute when they start talking more! Kirsten is a doll!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved it when my kids started putting sentences together. "Thank you, Mommy" and "Where'd it go?" were very popular. Kirsten's getting so big! She's just a doll.
ReplyDeleteMan, I love all that hair! She is so so beautiful. What a cute little ball-thief.
ReplyDeleteHow CUTE!! I can't wait til my little girl says cute things like that! And did I ever tell you that you dress her SO adorably?? :)
